BBC Learning Zone - Lots of website links and support materials, including short sound and video files, for their television programmes on BBC2.
Click for current programme schedules.Also on-line beginner "Steps" courses in French, German, Spanish and Italian and new "Ma France" video course for those with fast internet connections.
For intermediate students there is "Accents d'Europe" for French students and "El Mensual" for Spanish students as well as new crossword sites.
Cambridge EFL On-line - The website of the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Division. In this site you can download all the syllabuses and sample papers.

TV5 - The French satellite channel (available at Priory Court) which promotes learning French with activities based on its diverse range of programme from the Francophone world. Their booklet "Apprendre et enseigner avec TV5", which is a comprehensive guide to using TV5 programmes for language learning, can be downloaded free from their website.
TF1 - Another satellite channel with lots of video clips and articles: World News, France, Politics, Business, Sports, Arts, health, Music, Cinema, People, Science etc.

An extensive language site provided by Deutsche Welle radio, which offers its listeners and internet-users free German courses:
"German - Why not?" is designed for beginners. It consists of 4 series, each one has 26 lessons. Each 15 minute audio lesson is downloaded from the website and is accompanied by a lesson book. The software required - Winamp and Acrobat Reader are provided free.
"Markplatz" is aimed at listeners who have a good basic knowledge of German. The course features everyday in development, planning, production and marketing. There are 26 episodes, each one is 25 minutes long. The audio and textbook lessons are downloaded from the website.
