Award for Corinium Language Associates

Corinium Language Associates won a "Languages for Export Award" at a recent ceremony in Exeter. The event covered the South West region as a part of the National Languages for Export competition.

The two Corinium directors are seen receiving the prize from Beate Wengler of the South West Regional Development Agency.

Corinium has been providing a wide range of language services to business throughout the country for almost 20 years. Language training has always been a speciality from their Language Centre in Southrop or on clients' sites throughout the UK.

Business and professional clients undertake intensive training programmes in Southrop with all the up to date support facilities available on site like CD ROM, satellite TV and libraries of materials etc.. These highly tailored teaching programmes are also available on clients' sites in any part of the country for small groups and "one to one" with distance support available.

Corinium has also considerable expereince of recruiting people with language skills into a wide variety of jobs where language is a factor. The multilingual recruitment division has set up entire pan-European teams in Nottingham, high powered IT professionals with German in the M4 corridor and multilingual managing directors. Customer support and finance has become very international and Corinium has been leading the field in identifying the people for these roles. Many roles with many languages! Corinium has a huge register of people with language skills who want to use them in their work.

This network is extremely important when it comes to translations and interpreting where it is important to get the right skills and experience for each requirement. Not only must the language skills be right but the experience of the translator or interpreter are also a factor too, especially when some very technical subjects are involved.
